First-ever west coast “Song of Myself” Marathon reading, on the top of Janss Steps, 12-3pm.

Apply to participate here.

Saturday, May 18, 2019 will be an exciting day for Bruins and Whitmaniacs alike! The campus will be bustling with attendees of Alumni DayTedxUCLA, and the launch of the UCLA Centennial. And in the middle of it all, UCLA Writing Programs and the Center for the Art of Performance are thrilled to present the first-ever west coast “Song of Myself” Marathon reading! This historic event will begin at noon on the top of Janss Steps (near the fountain between Royce Hall and Powell Library). The 52 sections of this radically optimistic and seminal poem will be read and performed by UCLA faculty, students, staff, alumni, and members of the larger Los Angeles community. If you are interested in participating, apply here.

This event is free and open to the public.

Parking: Vistiors are encouraged to park in Lot 2 at green self-service parking pay station locations. For a map of campus parking locations, including Lot 2, please click here.
